Topic: Testing the effects of .NET 2.0

I have recently been given a Management Goal Objective (a task given to
an employee to perform, which is marked agasint profiecency of various
criteria ie. bugs found, approach, deadlines etc)

Anyway,
Ive got to test an 2 applications, 1 web based appliation, these are
written using most languages, Java, XML, VB.net etc).

The MGO is
to see if there are any effects on functionality, performance etc after
an install of Microsoft .net v2.0 is installed on the client.

Can
anyone recommend a test approach, or actually any ideas which might
help me to identify such problems, Im open minded to any suggestions so
please fell free to offer up any ideas.
