pattern 1

APTITUDE:
a) VERVAL:synonyms, antonyms, passage, verbal reasoning.
b) Quantitive aptitude
c) Critical Resoning.

There are many sets of Questions in exam. take a very good preparation from previous questions. No need to tell about Quantitve part. I found some common in syno, anto, but i cant understand passage completely. two critical resoning are common to me. one is 6 floor building prob another New wells,..., another was president, army chif problem. just mugg up difficult problems, THERE WERE NO SECTIONAL CUT OFF IN OUR COLLEGE. but sure about it by ask them..

TECHNICAL+HR:
well they were sssoo friendly
Inter: tell about yourself.

me: ...... i mention 'unique' terms.

well take a well preparation on basic on c,c++,D.S,O.S.D.B.M.S, be confident and cool......and crack it.

Pattern 2

There were 3 rounds:-
1) Written test
2) Technical Round
3) HR round

1)Written Test:- It consists 3 sections
1. Vocabulary:- Antonyms and Synonyms and a passage with 10 options
2. Quantative Aptitude
3. Critical Reasoning 

The duration of this round is 90 minutes

ONLINE TEST
The test was conducted after d preplacement talk. U will b given user ids 2 attend d online interview. Remember ur user ids. 4 the online test u need 2 give ur user id.then they will give u a password. Login using that password and ur online test starts. The  time will be displayed on the screen. The question no's are also displayed on the top right corner of the screen.U can click on any question no and switch over 2 any qstn within that section only.The question no's u attempted will become green n the questions that u haven't attempted will remain orange so that u can keep a track of how many u have attempted and how many u haven't. Only 1 question will be displayed on the screen.If u attempt that question then next question will b automatically displayed .

Below every question 5 options will be given choose the correct answer . So choose the correct option & click on the submit button.

Here I am describing some of the questions  which I faced in that written test. 

In 1st ROUND:(according to online test)

1. verbal (for this u have to prepare from GRE BARRON's model 5 test paper's opposites is enough..and for Synonyms previous year Questions..)
2. aps (only previous question papers of TCS only go through that definitely u'll get from that only...)
3. ciritical reasoning.(for this u prepare from GRE BARRON's 5 Model test Paper is more than enough).

NOTE: plz go for only 12 th edition of GRE BARRON'S..Strictly

Passage was about White and black.(donn rem..)You have 10 choices from which you have to fill the blanks.
For aptitude just go through the previous papers.....All que were similar,only value has changed.....Understand the concept

2.)QUANTATIVE

NOTE: go through GRE BARRON'S 12th edition i m giving some important passages as seen in fresherworld :-

Model test 1: Section5 - qns 1-4 (motorist), qns 13-16 (red and brown)

         Section6 - qns 1-4 (conservative,democratic), qns 8-11 (latin, sanskrit), qns 12-18 (joe,larry,ned), qns    19-22 (a causes b) 

Model test 2: Section1 - qns 19-22 (wallachia and rumelia) ---i got this qn, but the names were changed as london and paris , and a,b,c etc were changed as french, italian etc.

         Section6 - qns 8-12 ( ashland, liverpool), qns 13-16 (spelunker) ---i got this qn, qns 17-22 (pesth) ---i got this one too 

Model test 3: Section6 - qns 1-4 (all Gs are Hs)

Model test 4: Section5 - qns 8-11 (horizontal row), qns 19-22 (a,b,c cause d)

         Section6 - qns 8-12 (spanish, italian), qns 13-16 (all As, Bs), qns 17-22 (progressive federal party) 

Model test 5: Section3 - qns8-11 (museum), qns 19-22 (A is the father)

         Section7- qns 1-5 (prahtu, brahtu), qns 21-25 (scurvy)

This passages are more than enough to clear critical reasononing,  without GRE barrons 12th edition it is difficult to  clear the written test .

If u cannot understand them just MUG UP the answers.

This is all about my written round... I qualified for the next round   it was technical round

INTERVIEW
There were three Interviewers in my panel. Here I m explaining what they asked from me, it is as..

(Int: INTERVIEWER Me: Vishal ) 

Int : Good Morning Vishal, have ur seat
Me: Good morning Sir, 
Int: So, Vishal tell me something about urself

Me: I tell them about my academics, my hobbies, my strengths etc 

Int: Tell me about ur subjects     Me:I did 

Int: Tell me the various selection, sorting techniques..
Me: I explained about all sortings, then they told me to write the code for bubble sort which I easily did ( are yaar bahut hi aasan question pucha tha..yeeh) 

Int: What about DBMS
Me:Sir, I know DBMS but I m not much confident in it, they give me to build a table for employees of company..I did it 

Int: What is the difference b/w Applet & Servlets   Me :I told 

Int: have u done any project
Me: I told about my mini project of 5th semester 

Int:what r the subjects u have in ur btech     Me:I told 

Int:You have written that net surfing is ur hobby, but u wont be getting net access in TCS
Me: Sir, I use net only for my studies purpose, so there is no problem as such 

Int:Exploring new places is also ur hobby, how many places u have visited
Me:I explained 

Int:What type of books u read?  Me: I told 

Int: why ur btech  % r so less..
Me: I told the reason (this question is much asked, so prepare well if ur percents are low) 

Int:Are u adaptable
Me:yes sir, u can throw me anywhere in India, I 'll manage 

Int:what is SDLC?   Me:I told 

Int:what are various types of testing    Me:I told 

Int: what is the difference b/w applet & normal program  etc,etc  Me:I told

And there are various questions relating to my strength  & weakness . Some more technical questions were there.. My interview lasts for about 45 minutes & they asked everything about my academics, hobbies,strengths etc

I even find it difficult to know whether I am giving technical or HR round..they can ask anything so prepare well..

Finally I was selected for HR round: 

HR ROUND 
The questions they asked mw are as This round lasts for about 20 minutes 

Q:how was ur tech round
Q: why do u want to join tcs
Q: tell me about ur hobbies
Q: what type of books u read
Q:why ur b-tech % are so low( prepare well)
Q:where do u see urself after 5 or 10 years
Q:what r ur weakness
Q:tell me 2 reasons for why we select u?
Q: tell me 2 reasons for why we reject you?
Q:can u manage in south India ?( their most work is in southern India )
Q:do u know about terms & conditions ? 

And few such questions more.. & finally I got selected

BE CONFIDENT in ur answers.

NO need to get Nervous during interviews, be COOL & have smile on ur face.

Even if u don't know any answer simply say "sir I m unable to recall it"

Never say "sorry sir" or "Don't know".. The panels r  friendly, they just try to know ur confidence level.. 

So, be confident. If u have prepare well then u will surely be getting SUCCESS.
