Job Description

The Portfolio Test lead is responsible for the delivery of testing across the entire allocated Portfolio. They report to the Head of Testing responsible to the relevant portfolio
Manages multiple testing projects within the portfolio ensuring a common testing approach
Manage interfaces across the different suppliers on programmes
Ensure adherence to testing governance materials

Accountable for all the deliverable for all programmes and projects within the assigned Portfolio
Work with the individual Project Test Managers in the development, review and sign-off of test management documentation e.g. Project Test Strategy, Test Level Test Plan, test completion memos
Assist in assessing the demand and potential impact of all projects within the assigned portfolio to it
Feed back to the test governance team to promote continuous improvement of the Global Testing Services Testing Policy
Ensure effective utilisation of environments, data, tools and licences throughout the portfolio ensuring adherence to the relevant governance standards
Report daily on all key programmes and weekly against all portfolios
Act as an escalation point of contact for any test management issues, and key decisions
Ensure that all demand is covered and that all resource requirements are documented
Act as first point of contact for all Project Test Managers working within the portfolio
Assist in hiring permanent resource as and when required
Line Management responsibility for any direct reports
Ensure that the delivery chain understands the processes and procedures to follow
Ensure 'testing independence' is demonstrated at all times by following the guidelines as set-out in the CIO Testing Policy document
Feed into steering committee meetings either through direct attendance or through the STO representative
Work with test managers throughout the portfolio to ensure complete coverage through the CIT, SIT and UAT test phases
Share best practice and 'lessons learned' with all projects and programmes within the portfolio
