		Job Description:

 Quality Specialist job involves understanding the processes
established in the organization for Systems Development, Application
Support, understanding the Assessment process, familiarity with the
tools used in the projects for Project Management, Configuration
Management, Self-Assessment and helping out the project teams in
complying with the defined standards and the objective is to identify
risks at an early stage, reduce defects, rework and to achieve final
product quality. Quality Specialist should be able to train the project
teams on Organizational Processes and should be able to handle a team
independently.

Activities

 Facilitating the Project Team to achieve the Project Goals defined in the Project Management Plan

Facilitating the Project Team to be complaint with the Organization
Processes associated with activities of Project Software Development
Life Cycle

 Develop Quality Plan for the projects in the portfolio

 Identify project process risks and incorporate within project's risk register

 Follow up on risks for timely closure without becoming overdue

 Submit periodic monitoring reports for the Projects in the portfolio to Project Manager and to Senior Manager - Quality

 Collect project specific metrics for the Projects in the portfolio

 Conduct project assessments at milestones and publish report within 3 working days to PM and Senior Management 

 Track non-conformances and ensure closure.

 Participate in Process change forums and get process changes incorporated on time

 Validate self assessment for Application (KCSA) and for SD Projects (PRA) and publish the report on findings.

		Essential Skills

 Minimum of 4 years Development Experience in any language (Programming experience) 

 Good knowledge on Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) phases

 Familiarity in Quality Models like ISO 9001:2000, CMMi, 

 Experience in handling a team

 Good Analytical Skills

 Problem Analysis and solving skills

 Good Report writing skill

 Exposure in planning and conducting Audits/Assessments or being audited

Other Skills

 Good oral/written communication skills

 Professional Certifications like CSQA, CISA (Optional)

 Lead Auditor ISO 9001:2000 (Optional)

 Good inter personal skills at all levels, especially with Project Managers and Senior Executives in the organization
