Job Description

The Development Manager is responsible for driving the product engineering team, project planning, tracking competency build up and interaction with remote teams, managing priorities and execution throughout the product lifecycle. The Development Manager's job also includes “customer satisfaction” through quality delivery on time. His responsibility also includes build up a motivated, competent team through proper training and interaction. This person will be the key responsible person for delivering product development plan and its full execution.

Desired Candidate Profile

Must have strong back ground in Engineering project management including scheduling, planning and taking part in technical reviews of design and code.

Must have experience in handling medium sized team.

Ability to closely monitor and track the progress of the engineering teams and coordinate activities at home location and remote locations.

Should be able to face a customer and represent the product and the company.

A Self motivated person with 10 years & above experience in networking protocols, architecture and development of protocol stacks and product development management.

Strong domain knowledge in L3/3/4-7, routing, switching, bridging and application protocol

Experienced in building protocol stacks and/or protocol conformance products

Thorough experience in planning, tracking and execution.

Experience in building up team and developing competency

Past Experience of working with hands on product development is required

The person should be hands on with product design, coding and should be able to write pieces of critical code when required

Expert in C/C++
