Job Description

As a Software Load Testing Specialist at Synygy, you will support our load and performance testing projects.

Responsibilities

• Design, write, develop, and execute load tests for business requirements that are scalable, repeatable, and measurable.

• Review Functional Design Documents and generate test scenarios and test data for load testing.

• Create Vugen scripts/scenarios and execute via LoadRunner.

• Take ownership of defects found during load/performance testing and provide solutions to developers to fix/verify.

• Contribute to the process of application tuning to improve its performance based on test results.

• Configure test environments and servers, monitor performance tests, and identify application bottlenecks.

Desired Candidate Profile

Prerequisites:
Specific qualifications include:

• Minimum 3 years experience designing and implementing load scripts using LoadRunner in a web-based environment.

• Experience gathering and deriving load test requirements, creating test data, and creating load test scripts and scenarios

• Understanding of SDLC, load, and performance testing

• Strong knowledge of configuration and inner workings of a Web environment (Apace, Tomcat, SQL Server, Routers, DNS, load balancing, firewalls/DMZ)

• Basic knowledge of the J2EE development environment and Java programming experience

• Experience with Perl, SQL, VBscript and/or Shell programming a plus

• Working knowledge of testing tools like Quality Center, QTP a plus

• Excellent problem solving abilities, detail orientation, and diagnostic abilities

• Ability to coordinate and work successfully with a global team

• Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science or other related discipline.
