can u explain difference between smoke testing, sanity testing, and build verification testing briefly with some examples

Retesting is done on the 'Modified Build' to check if the corrected files are working properly or not.

Regression testing is also done after modification and correction of errors, but it is done mainly to ascertain that there are no changes on the 'uncorrected' or other files due to the modifications done. Regression Test could be done in two cases 1) when the defects identified are resolved in the system 2) when new features are added to the existing system
