Job Description: We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Test Lead(s), with broad experience in web based application testing based on Microsoft .NET platform. The position requires strong technical and communication skills, and a track record of shipping great products. This position requires taking on a test leadership role for a great team to test and deliver web applications.

 

Your role includes all technical and managerial challenges associated with ensuring project delivery on multiple fast paced projects.

 

Your key result areas as percentage of your overall work items will be:

·         Owning project test execution and daily reporting of monthly releases (~60%)

·         Developing and modifying 3-5 test plans per year for major releases

·         Ensure efficient delivery through design and execution of test cases 

·         Review and analyze test cases and test results on daily basis

·         Defect tracking and Review of test artifacts

·         Review and resolve technical issues faced by test team

·         Supporting multiple release schedules across a range of projects typically 12 releases in a year (not once a year release cycle)

·         Provide requirements to test automation team to automate test cases

·         Leading a test team of 3- 8 manual test engineers (~30%)

·         Working closely with the development, automation and test team to help define and deliver the requirements and feature sets

·         Ensuring 80% - 90% utilization of test team across the project

·         Project planning, tracking and weekly reporting to senior management

·         People management including motivation, providing feedback, coaching and performance management of the team

·         Individual and team technical development (~10%):

·         Lead by example by clearing CSTE/ CSQA certifications (majority of our test engineers are CSTE certified)

·         Become subject matter expert by exploring relevant technical developments and share knowledge with team by driving training for the team members (approximately 4 hrs/month) including to train 10 junior test engineers in a year on test methodologies (CSTE curriculum) and project on-boarding

·         Supporting the recruitment team by conducting about 5 interviews per month

 

This is a unique opportunity involving technical management responsibility with a growing organization as part of core management team reporting to the top management.

 

Candidate Profile:

·         Engineering background with first class academics

·         Prefer 1 year as a Project Lead with hands-on experience on software testing   

·         Must have team management experience handling 3 to 8 test engineers

·         Ability to effectively communicate with the client and team (both oral and written communication)

·         Knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools

·         Strong test background on Microsoft web platform, prior work experience working with Microsoft Corporation is a plus

·         Prefer IT services background with IT majors

·         Local candidates preferred. No relocation is available.

 

Experience: 3 years to 5 years

Compensation: CTC 5 – 8 Lakhs p.a.
