Job Description
		 The .Net
Web Application Developer is responsible for requirements analysis,
design and construction of applications that are keys to the operation
of VMC Consulting, a subsidiary of Volt Information Sciences, Inc. 

This position can pay more or less depending upon your experience level.

Duties and responsibilities:

-Collect and document business and operational requirements for VMC software applications

-Analyze business and operational requirements and produce systems requirements and functional specification

-Design application and systems architecture (with logical and physical models)

-Prototype as needed

-Construct (code)

-Participate in design and code reviews

-Maintain and evolve applications

-Work with peer groups to develop user and operational training materials

-Mentor other Software Developers

-Support the objectives of the Manager

-Work effectively with other departments to develop inter-departmental
communications and work through issues that span departments

Required Skills for this .Net Web Application Developer position includes the following:

-4+ years experience in web application software development

-3+ years of commercial experience in web application development and  

testing with ASP.NET and C#, MS SQL Server 2000 / 2005 with the ability to write stored procedures using Transact SQL

-2+ years experience with code management systems

-Experience in the software development life-cycle, working on large commercial or equivalent software projects

-Familiar with all development phases such as requirements definition, prototyping and code complete definitions

-Knowledge of IT deployment and implementation steps

-Knowledge of documentation required to deliver a software product

-Demonstrated ability to write detailed design and test documents

-Excellent written and verbal skills

-Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
