Position Description:
Candidates will develop radar applications software for radar systems.
In this capacity they will:
' Be responsible for the management of a major software development
activity and complete it within performance, budget, and schedule
requirements.
' Design, code, and unit test real-time, multi-threaded, embedded
software radar applications.
' Develop unit test cases and document the designs, test cases, and
test results.
' Support software and system integration and test.
' Re-host software components to more capable platforms to take
advantage of emerging technologies.
' Concurrently work on multiple projects, maximizing their exposure to
new ideas and concepts, and facilitating career development.

Experience Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer
Science, Math, Physics, or comparable fields required. MS in the same
fields desirable.
' Eight years experience in software development, required, over three
years experience in real-time, embedded radar software development of
multi-threaded applications desired.
' Full lifecycle software development experience from software design
through software integration required, full lifecycle software
development experience from software requirements analysis through
support of system integration/test desired. Software development
experience using processes assessed at CMMI Level 3 or higher highly
desirable.
' Familiarity with Unix, Linux, and/or Windows development platforms
required.
' Experience with embedded real-time operating system such as RT
Linux, VxWorks, or LynxOS required, VxWorks desired.
' Structured software development experience required, object oriented
software development experience highly desired.
' Experience with Microsoft Project required.
' Experience with Unified Modeling Language (UML), UML CASE tools, OMG
Interface Definition Language (IDL), MATLAB, and DOORS requirements
management tool a plus.
' Experience with Data Distribution Service (DDS) middleware a plus.
' Experience with I-Logix Rhapsody, Rational Rose, Eclipse, or Wind
River Workbench development environments a plus.
' Experience in leading small to medium (5 - 15) software development
teams a plus, especially with progress assessment using Earned Value
Management (EVM) methods.
' Good communications skills, both verbal and written, essential.
