         CSC Chennai requires Non Functional Testers. 

        Job Description

As a Non Functional Testing Specialist, you will develop the Non
functional testing strategy for the department including the design of
the test plans, test cases, test scripts as well as the execution of
these. 
 Preferably to be an expert in any of the few areas of the
non functional elements. (Scalability, Load and Performance Testing,
Ergonomics Testing, Stress & Volume Testing, Compatibility &
Migration Testing, Data Conversion Testing, Security / Penetration
Testing, Operational Readiness Testing, Installation Testing, Usability
Testing, Security Testing (Application Security, Network Security,
System Security) 

Scalability Testing, Scale out / Scale in, Reliability, Resilience,
Manageability, Maintainability, Portability, Architecture Governance,
Data Recovery, et al.) You will mentor the rest of the team on the
elements of non functional testing methodology and tools. You will
attend meetings to discuss testing issues/ideas with the rest of the
stakeholders. Utilize appropriate tools and processes to ensure
application and infrastructure can support the expected go live data
and transaction loads. Should be aware of Quality process 

Work with counterparts to help plan, build, operate and maintain the
testing environment. Manage and/or execute elements of non functional
testing. Document test procedures, load balances, system performance
findings and problems from test results. Reconcile test results from
different tests and different groups. Assess readiness and deviation of
application performance based upon test results and product
specifications. You will ensure that processes and testing
documentation meet total quality management and/or other reliability
standards. Research and implement initiatives that would improve
testing methods, processes, and test/load tools. 

Develop new methodologies to accommodate tight schedules and resource constraints 

Should be aware of the process(ISO and CMMi) 

        Desired Profile 

Should possess Expert level knowledge of Non Functional testing
methodology, automated test/load tools (preferred: Load Runner) and
test documentation procedures 

Should have good understanding of relational Database(preferred : SQL/Oracle) 

Certifications preferred (CSQA/CSTE/Mercury certifications/Tool certifications) 

Should have good knowledge of defect management system (i.e. any tracking tool) 

Knowledge of XML and Web Services will be an added advantage.

Should possess Knowledge of the application/architecture being tested
and its integration points Experience with performance testing systems
to demonstrate that the applications can withstand or recover
appropriately from failure or high pressure points 

Data centre experience highly preferred. 

Participation in benchmarking exercises preferred. 

Understanding of network constraints and protocol limitations. 

Should possess strategies for overcoming data constraints 

Should possess good mentoring skills to train and share the KT to the team members. 

Should be able to adapt fast to the dynamic environment 

Should possess excellent leadership skills
