Software Testing -Testing Methods

Software Testing can be performed in either the two types:-
1.Conventional:-In this Testing is started after the Coding.
2.UnConventional:-In this Testing is done from the Initial Phase.

Basically the Testing methods are classified as 2 types:-
1)Black Box Testing:-
a)It is the test method in which the user always test the application functionality he need not to bother about the application 
structure because of the customer always looks at the screens how it is developed.

b)Usually Test Engineer will do the Black Box Testing.

Here is a small presentation given by famous Professor Cem Kaner.

2)White Box Testing:-a)It is the testing method in which the user will test the application structure
how it is acting.

b)Usually Developers would perform the White Box Testing.

Now a Days one more testing methodology have come called as Grey-Box Testing.

In which both the Black Box and White Box testing is performed.

Testing the application functionality and also testing the application structure
will come under Grey Box Testing.

It is also called as the mixture of Black Box and White Box Testing.
