Functional testing verifies that each of the various product capabilities defined in the design specification meet their defined requirements.

Typical Functional Testing Criteria:

• Does your product meet all performance and environmental specifications?
• How will it perform from a usability perspective once it’s in your customer’s hands?
• Are there any functional errors? If so, what are the root causes?
• What is the impact of a product enhancement on existing functionality?
• Are there any interoperability issues?
