Test Case Automation

Automation should be a goal of all test cases. Test cases that are repeatable and have well-defined test data sets are the most likely candidates for automation. If the test case procedure can be executed many times and yield the same result each time, the test case is repeatable.
Clearly defined data sets are much more difficult to ob-tain. It may take a long time to fully understand and create the test data set such that each appropriate test data set class is represented. Once repeatability and clearly defined data sets have been developed, the test case should be analyzed to determine possible methods of automation
