If you have both a QA and QC function in your software or internal IT organization, I am interested in how the groups are structured organizationally.

Specifically, where does the QA group reside in your organization?  Does it report into development, QC, project management, etc?  Or is it a stand-alone organization that reports up to highest level of your product development group?

QA is the process where the document for the product to be tested is verified with the actual requirement of the customers. It invloves aduting, inspections, meetings and code reviews etc.

QC is the process where the product is actually executed and expected behaviour is compared with actual behaviour of the software under test. All the testing types like black box testing and white box testing come under QC.

QA is done before QC
