Brief Summary of the open position:

There is a Test Architect position open in DB2 LUW Quality Assurnace team in IBM software labs, Bangalore with mandate to work on test strategy, test plans, test tools and test estimates for DB2 QA. Ideal candidate takes technical ownership of QA for DB2. This person will also be responsible for providing technical expertise in testing the complex features of DB2 LUW, which require frequent use of creativity and customer like thinking.

Responsibilities:

- Work with senior management to provide and obtain product and project directions.
- Understanding the design and specification of the features to be tested.
- Come up with test strategy, test plans and test tools
- Development/Application of appropriate test methodology and tools
- Improvements in efficiency and effectiveness of testing
- Practice latest Quality Software Engineering practices like agile development and testing.
- Work on critical customer engagements as and when required.

Experience and Skills:

This job opening requires a experience of around 10 years or more with a mix of Database application development/DBA and testing domains.

- In depth experience in QA domain.
- Strong in Unix shell scripting, Unix/Linux administration and perl scripting.
